Nato a Formia (LT) il 21 agosto 1966, diplomato in Pittura nel 1989 all’Accademia di Belle Arti di Roma, dove attualmente insegna  nel corso di Decorazione.
E’ un artista poliedrico; è un musicista, un artista visivo, fa video, installazioni, performance. Negli ultimi anni la sua poetica si è concentrata soprattutto sulla produzione di video, di immagini fotografiche, ma anche di quelli che lui definisce blitz. Considerandoli a cavallo tra arte urbana e performance, l’artista compie azioni a volte sorvolando con aerei, altre proiettando immagini o scritte su edifici in rapidi raid notturni, altre ancora arrivando in luoghi con elementi di forte disturbo e impatto visivo, come cartelloni finto-elettorali. Ibridando etica ed estetica, tecnologia e azioni comportamentali, De Luca reclama l’interazione con l’ambiente e il pubblico, denunciando, tra ironia e impegno, la crisi di valori di questo nostro tempo. Dal 2018 i blitz si evolvono in azioni meno politiche e più poetiche. L’utilizzo di molteplici e differenti registri linguistici ha da sempre caratterizzato la sua progettualità e conseguentemente le scelte metodologiche ed operative, lasciando intendere che il denominatore comune è nella necessità di scardinare le certezze, di rompere i codici della formalizzazione espressiva, per tendere un tranello alla realtà, sorprendendola alle spalle. Decodificare la trama della ragnatela che l’artista tesse, costruendo funambolici equilibri tra segni di natura diversa, è il compito del pubblico, chiamato a una partecipazione attiva da un’interrogazione che non può essere elusa.

Born in Formia (LT) on August 21, 1966, he graduated in Painting in 1989 from the Academy of Fine Arts in Rome, where he currently teaches in the Decoration course. He is a versatile artist; a musician, a visual artist, involved in video production, installations, and performances. In recent years, his artistic focus has primarily been on the creation of videos and photographic images, as well as what he defines as “blitz.”
Positioning these actions at the intersection of urban art and performance, the artist engages in various activities sometimes flying over areas with planes, projecting images or writings onto buildings during swift nocturnal raids, or entering locations with elements of strong disturbance and visual impact, such as faux-electoral billboards. Blending ethics and aesthetics, technology and behavioral actions, De Luca advocates for interaction with the environment and the public, simultaneously critiquing, with a mix of irony and commitment, the crisis of values in our time. Since 2018, the blitz actions have evolved into less political and more poetic expressions.
The use of multiple and different linguistic registers has always characterized his projects and, consequently, his methodological and operational choices. This suggests that the common denominator lies in the need to dismantle certainties, break the codes of expressive formalization, and set a trap for reality, catching it off guard. Deciphering the web that the artist weaves, constructing precarious balances between signs of different natures, becomes the task of the audience. They are called to active participation in an interrogation that cannot be evaded.
